Can you tell me what a specific result or biomarker means?

What our support team can help with versus when a clinical answer requires a provider.

Our support team can help you find and read your results, but interpreting what a specific result or biomarker means for your health is a clinical question that requires a licensed provider. Use this article to understand what we can help with and how to get a clinical answer.

What our support team can help with

Our support team can assist you with the following:

  • Finding and opening your results in your member portal or PDF report

  • Explaining how results are laid out — the tier label, the reference range, and trends over time

  • Explaining that a licensed physician from our clinical network reviews every set of results

  • Connecting you with the right next step when you have a clinical question

What requires a provider

Questions such as "What does this marker mean for me?", "Is this level a problem?", or "What should I do about this result?" are clinical questions. Our support team cannot answer those — they require a licensed provider who can consider your full health picture.

To get a clinical answer, you have two options:

  1. Book a telehealth consult, if your test provider offers it. Some test providers include telehealth as part of their program, so you can schedule a visit to talk through your results with a provider. Check your member portal or contact our support team to find out whether a telehealth consult is available with your test provider.

  2. Share your results with your own doctor. You can download your PDF report directly from your member portal and bring it to your personal healthcare provider.

Note: If a result is critical or abnormal, the assigned physician's team may reach out to you directly — you do not need to wait to get answers on those results.

Why we work this way

At-home lab tests are designed for wellness and health optimization, not for diagnosing disease. Connecting you with a licensed provider ensures that any guidance about your specific results is clinical, personal, and safe.
